Because of the rain over the last week it was too wet to really do much at the plot which suited me as I just wanted to walk around and look. The cut and come again salad leaves continue to grow, it self-seeded from last year’s sowing. There are quite a few snails about but no slugs (where are they hiding?). The nasturtiums are slowly fading under the weight of frost and rain, but one rose bush continues to bloom. Silence quivers. Kale, leeks and parsnips are the only vegetables left standing. I really must give the asparagus bed a cosy layer of manure in the next few days!
